Division 56 covers food and beverage service. Its groups are restaurants and mobile food service (56.1), event and contract catering (56.2), beverage serving — bars (56.3) and intermediation (56.4). It is the most labour-intensive part of the section, with many small firms. Equity is often thin or negative, margins are low, and business turnover is high.
