Civil engineering

Division 42 covers civil engineering — infrastructure works. Its groups are construction of roads and railways (42.1), construction of utility projects (42.2) and other civil engineering projects (42.9). It is the most capital-intensive part of construction and more concentrated than the rest — larger firms with machinery and equipment. The division leans heavily on public procurement and EU funding.
