Construction

Section F covers construction. It has three divisions: construction of buildings (41), civil engineering (42) and specialised construction activities (43). By company count it is one of the largest sectors in Latvia and highly fragmented — a few large contractors alongside thousands of small firms and subcontractors. The sector is cyclical and depends on investment and public procurement; most of the work stays in the domestic market.
