Section N brings together professional, scientific and technical services — work that rests on knowledge and qualifications. It has seven divisions: legal and accounting (69), head offices and management consultancy (70), architecture and engineering (71), scientific research and development (72), advertising and market research (73), other professional services (74) and veterinary work (75). The sector needs little capital, so the return on equity is high. Most companies are small, often a single practitioner.
