Activities of head offices and management consultancy

Division 70 joins two different things: head office, or holding-company, activities (70.1) and business and management consultancy (70.2). The first part is group parent companies that hold stakes in subsidiaries — which is why the division carries a lot of assets on its balance sheets. The second, consultancy, needs almost no capital. Profit margins are good and the firms are mostly small.
