Wholesale and retail trade

Section G covers all trade — both wholesale and retail. It has three divisions: motor-vehicle trade and repair (45), wholesale (46) and retail (47). By company count and turnover it is one of the largest sectors in Latvia. The market is uneven: a few big grocery, fuel and electronics traders earn most of the turnover, while most companies are small and often have no employees.
