Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products

Division 20 covers the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products. Its groups are basic chemicals, fertilizers and plastics in primary forms (20.1), pesticides and agrochemicals (20.2), paints and varnishes (20.3), soaps and cleaning products (20.4), other chemical products (20.5) and man-made fibres (20.6). In Latvia a few large capital-intensive producers work alongside many small specialty firms.
