Manufacture of food products

Division 10 is one of the largest manufacturing divisions in Latvia. It covers all food production: meat (10.1) and fish (10.2) processing, fruit and vegetables (10.3), oils and fats (10.4), dairy (10.5), grain milling (10.6), bakery and confectionery (10.7), other food products (10.8) and animal feed (10.9). A few large dairy and meat processors lead the market, alongside many small producers. Margins are thin.
